Hey all first time posting here and I got a bunch of questions, so here we go:

I just got my girl's old 1st gen itouch. The itouch, when I got it, was never updated or jailbroken. I took it back to the Apple Store to see if the could fix it and they offered a replacement, but the problem was I had no warranty so they wanted to take back the old itouch and charge me for a new one (only the salesman wins there). So I decided to update it and still had the freezing problems. Then I jailbroke it, and still had the freezing problem.

The exact problems before and currently are:

Battery misreads charge amount
Screen does not respond - power and home buttons still work and produce functions
Screen stops working when I am using the wifi no matter signal strength and takes a lonnng time to start working again.

I tried using sbsettings' dir fix as suggested in one of the posts I read. There was a command line I stumbled that i could use ssh to enter but I do not want to completely destroy the itouch. However I am willing to do what it takes to get it fixed. Please....PLEASE let me know....i wanna get uWatch soon, Please help!
