VideoEdit Toggle


This toggle will let you edit all your Cycorder
videos in the photos application.



read all instructions before you proceed. if you Damn your sh#t up because you're impatient and can't read a few extra sentances (most notably the notes) it ain't my fault.

REQUIREMENTS:

make sure you have SBSettings installed
also, cycorder is a must
and finally you will need mobile terminal and open ssh on your device.
you can get all of them via Cydia.

INSTALL:


1) Copy the folder to your iPhones private/var/tmp directory through ssh or diskaid or whatever method you choose.You can copy them anywhere on your iPhone ( i.e /tmp … i copy mine in /deb , the folder doesent exists, i created it. I will use /deb from now on, and if you copy the files anywhere else, make sure you enter your path to the files )

2) Open mobile terminal and type:


su root <return> **note** don't actually type <return> it simply means to hit the return a.k.a. enter button.**

Alpine <return> **Note**you will not see this password while typing**

bash /private/var/tmp/VideoToggle/install <return>



3) After your iPhone respring's the toggle will be installed in sbsettings but in order for your camera app to not be permantly locked you must reboot the device.

When the new toggle is turned ON, you will be able to go to your camera roll , see the movies you recorded and play them and also trim them. Also, if the toggle is ON, you wont be able to use the photo camera. Turn it OFF, and you’ll get your camera back.





When the toggle is off(red), you can use cycorder to record videos and save them in a camera roll. When want to modify and cut them, you must activate the toggle and go into the photos app! You can then select the part you want and then click the Cut button on the upper right.Also, if the toggle is ON, you wont be able to use the photo camera. Turn it OFF, and you’ll get your camera back.

Note: When the Toggle of Video Editing is active, it will be impossible to take pictures through the camera, which will remain forever closed. “Remember to activate the toggle only when you need to change something.

UNINSTALL:

this process is the exact same as the installation procedure it just has 2 extra letters.

1) You must once again Copy the folder to your iPhones Private/var/tmp directory

or any folder of your choosing.
**Note**after any install or uninstall you will have to copy the files back in the folder you chose because they get erased in the install/uninstall process

2) run mobile terminal type:

su root <return>

Alpine <return> **Note**you will not see this password while typing**

bash /private/var/tmp/VideoToggle/uninstall <return>




3) After your iPhone respring's the toggle will be uninstalled
. again, reboot the device.


NOTE: This has only been tested on iPhone 3g 3.0.

NOTE: a few people reported that this tweak f**** up their photos.app Long story short: Use it at your own risk. best way to fix the confusion is to make sure your camera roll is completely empty before you install. and after you uninstall, go into the devices storage folder where it keeps the pics from your pc and delete them manually and your camera roll will be back to normal.
