The greenpois0n jailbreak software uses the SHAtter exploit which jailbreaks all iPhone and iPod touch and iPad hardware for life, and it will be released for Windows, Mac, and Linux users before Apple releases the iOS 4.2 update. iOS 4.2 beta 2 update was recently released and many users have e-mailed us asking whether or not the creators of the greenpois0n jailbreak plan on waiting until iOS 4.2 comes out to release greenpois0n.

The final version of iOS 4.2 software is not going to come out until some point in November, so the greenpois0n jailbreak will be released before then. I know a lot of you here are anxiously awaiting to jailbreak iOS 4.1, don’t worry the wait won’t be much longer.

In the past jailbreaks haven’t ever taken this long to be completed, but you have to understand that Apple is making the cat and mouse game harder and the jailbreak teams must work harder to bring out the jailbreak to you all. Keep checking back, we will post an update with the actual greenpois0n jailbreak.

Too bad ios 4.2.1 is unbeatable till now
