iPhone, iPad & iPod touch

Whats up guys. I recently bought a 32gig 3GS. My old phone was an 8gig 3g. My intentions were to keep it as an ipod and web device via wi-fi connections. It had been jailbroken through the slide to jailbreak sight. Was gonna let my sister use it but w the issues that pop up w jailbroken devices, i wanted to simply keep it open but not jailbroken. I completely restored it as if it were right out of the box where it says connect to itunes and the emergency phone call feature blah blah blah. Is there any way to open it up to use it as an ipod touch though its not activated as a phone? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think you have to jailbreak it if it was a carrier locked phone

You can try to jailbreak it with redsnow. Should still work on wifi. I have an iPhone three 3G. It is no longer in service. But it is still jbed and works fine on wifi

Well I would just mirror what pup said. Rejail break, add the ultrasnow package that unlocks it, and then if your sis ever wanted it as a phone she could add a pay as u go si
from any network.
