hi

My iphone 3g is unlocked with tmobile and whenever i connect it to itunes it says "The SIM card inserted in this iphone does not appear to be supported."
is there any way i can bypass that?

what is your firmware for your phone and what ver of itunes are you using

No the versions have nothing to do with it all you have to do is restore with the tmobile sim card in the device and after your done restoring through itunes restore you can then use quickpwn or whatever program you use to jailbreak and it should work then. Key is to restore using itunes with the t mobile sim card in your device while restore is in progress!

are you sure that would work bc i restored it without a sim card once and then after the restore it said "insert sim card". so i inserted the tmobile and it says "sim card failure." and to activate it.. you need a att sim card :/

did it come unlocked (from apple) or are you using turbo sim?

actually I had the same problem. I was using 2.1FW and ver 7 of itunes. itunes never recognized my phone until I upgraded to ver 8. I have had no problems since.

no, it did not come unlocked and yes im using turbo sim. im using 2.1 FW and im using itunes 8. what shall i do? ;[

i got the same problem but if u take the sim out or turn it to airplane mode u can sync fine.. but it best if u winpwn it.
