iPhone, iPad & iPod touch

my ipod touch is broken, every time i jailbreak it with pwnage tool on 3.0 it works perfectly fine but when i go into cydia there is only one update and its for open ssh when i click update it shows a ton of other things that need to be installed. So i do the update and install those things and then it says reload springboard, i click the button and it shows the status thing that rotates on the screen. so i decide to leave it on all night and see if it does reload springboard and i wake up ten hours later and it shows the same screen so i try to restart it and now it just shows the pinneaple for a long time and then shuts off and then turns on to the pinneaple again. i have done this literally ten times each time a different way none of them work cydia always eventually fails. like i have avoided the update and just updated open ssh and then sbsettings and anything else i want but then it eventually crashes.

I am running a custom firmware 3.0 on an ipod touch 1st gen 8g

I had the same problem with my first generation. I tried everything and i finally just rejailbroke it and everything worked out. If this doesn't help my bad, but this is what i did and it worked

Yea I've rejailbroke at least 10 times and it still doesn't work

jailbreak with a different program

Try a different firmware,
DFU mode,
all that good stuff.

Maybe another program.
