Hi guys, i have a laptop at home that i am not using often and i dont know what to do with it.. So either i give it away or i put Mac OS on it.. The laptop is pretty good.. Has somebody done that before? Any help? I heard that apple doesnt want "normal" laptops to run Mac OS and i should probably dont even try it out but rules r there to be broken...

lets get this done..

1) more self-confidence, you will need it because chances are high that your gonna screw up your laptop, therefore listen to this bad ass song to give yourself a shot of self confidence before installing Mac OS on your machine

2) Downloading......
- Download your Mac OS Image File
- Download a tool called MacDrive 9, that will allow you to open your max_os_.img in Windows.
- Download UltraISO or any other application that allows you to burn/create ISO or IMG files.

hey how did this one go?? ive heard of this being done before but i think it was buggy as the laptop wasnt the highest spec and as we know some apple software can be processor intensive.

anyhow it was a while ago and i cant really remember, but it would be cool to know how it worked out.

ok guys i did it.. i am officially running snow leopard on my regual laptop
for those of you who dont know me i am johann just this is my second account on this forum
anyway, lets get ready!!!!

1) watch that ghost bustards clip again to find self-courage to do following steps
2) as i already descripted you should find an mac os install file and burn it on your dvd
3) you ll need a tool that allows you to boot your mac on your laptop.
the best one is iBoot and it works like this.
3.1 download iBoot
3.2 burn iBoot on cd
3.3 restart computer and boot from iBoot
3.4 wait till iBoot screen shows up
3.5 eject iBoot cd and replace it with your self burned mac osx dvd
4. mac osx install dvd is gonna be able to boot now because iBoot made the install dvd think its an apple laptop but as we know its not :D
5. install mac osx
6. eject mac osx dvd out and restart computer after installation done
7. boot your computer and you ll have MAC ON YOUR REGULAR PC/LAPTOP

its that easy.. few years ago its been super complicated but since apple produces use intel processors its all safe..... the mac your using is gonna think you have an mac book pro thanks to iBoot software so to apple its legal.. only you know its not :D
