iPhone, iPad & iPod touch

There are many things the iPad lacks..ALOT of things. Hell it's not even a computer, just a big iPod touch (yes iPod touch, the thing can't even make calls). It's not a computer. What Steve Jobs did was re unveil the iPod touch. I cried. No flash. No camera. No Java. No USB drive. No Optical Drive. You expect me to buy this crap? And for around $800 the most (with 3G support and 64GB storage) no way in hell am I even considering it.

Sure, the iPad is a great game player. I like the way Apple re dsigned the UI. It's very nice. Gaming would rock. Video streaming would rock. Porn would rock. But I think Apple is just ignoring what we REALLY want. My theory? There probably saving these things for the future, and will release each feature very slowly, one by one, until finally we have everything we want. Although I would LOVE if they could just release everything all at once. Why? Because there probably running out of ideas, if they release everything all at once they won't have any ideas for future devices.

Also, Apple claims that it's better than a netbook. I am currently writing this from my Acer Aspire One. I am willing to bet you any money that my netbook is significantly more powerful (and cheaper by far. Apple is the best!). Seriously, the "tablet" (did they even mention that word at the keynote?) is clocked at 1GHz. Also, battery life. Sure it's thin, and very light, but I think they could have done a wee bit better on the battery life. There are times where 10 hours of battery are not enough for me (but if I had this piece of sh#t I'd barely use a second of it).

The lack of camera REALLY disapointed me. I really thought it could happen. In fact, I can see it in my mind now. iChat on the iPad (iTampon anybody?). I see no problem whatsoever sticking it on there. I don't see flash being a problem either. Maybe someone could port it. But the camera..damn.

I don't like how Apple put the iPhone OS on this thing. I expected the Mac OS, or better yet a completely new OS. And 64GB..oh please, it really is just an iPod touch.

Well, I hope they do better. MUCH better. They have a lot to fix up, so they better start working on it. So, long review short, I hate it. What are your thoughts or opinions? Are you getting it? If so, why?

First of all no one said that the iPad was going to be a computer. Second of all the price will start of with 499. 3rd- this product was made for apple lovers. And I hear they trying to make a full keyboard for the ipad. iPad has some new things that iPhone/iTouch can't do.

u must be trollin, no1 can defend this P.O.S. plus there IS a keypad, probably $100. and u say its 4 apple lovers? u mean retards that'll waste money on a large scale ipod thats inconvenient? AND u say it starts at $500 but in order for it to be practical u are going to HAVE TO buy all these overpriced accesories; think about that?

but nvm that, i wanna kno whats everyones problem when saying "no porn". why cant u download ur own porn? do u really need an iporn app from the appstore (or pornstore). that would never happen.

now, about the joke of a product the ipad; worst product ever. they say its the best way to surf the web, how bout a friggin laptop. they could have just taken a netbook and ipod n combine them but instead they give u this awkward rectangle that confines you to them (and their monopoly). congrats apple, u've made a jailbreakable clipboard that only uses itouch apps n content! so its not a computer, its just a 4th gen itouch that wont fit in your pocket.i wish ppl would see how friggin rediculous this is but they wont, they'll see the logo and how it does unimpressive things lightning fast and buy it. 2nd gen with camera that'll be out in a couple of months any1?...honestly, im sure in a few months there'll be a 2Ghz 1 or a 4G one, something that'll make it terribly obsolete.

BTW, i dont mean to offend, im just soooo upset @ how many ppl will buy this worthless device. it's big like a laptop, but has no USB or anything a normal person wants.

In the Grammy awards they made th3 ipad seemed like the the coolest thing. Maybe we should wait for the future generations for this thing.

When I said I was pissed at how much they were gonna sell I didn't think theyd sell half as many as they have. I'm in an economics class at my high school where the teacher gives us 100,000 dollars on a virtual stock exchange. I invested in apple when it was at 45 per share which is quite a bit. In two weeks (I think) it got me 5000 so a day after ipad was released I sold. Now they're up to 250+ a share...as of Friday I think. His is crazy. If ppl will buy his crap just cause there's an apple on it we r in for some shitty products in the future. If I could jailbreak a zune like an iPod I would have gotten 1. That's prolly the #1 reason for a lot more other ppl. Now there's another iPhone and that's also gonna sell like crazy. Oh my f**** goodness.

I've had my Pad for about 2 week's, Love it for the commute and it fit's in a pocket of my backpack.. I bought the 32Gb Wifi version and use MyWi from my 3g.... It is what it is.. Full Functional for a mere road warrior like myself...good luck with your netbook and yes I can talk on the phone at the same time..
