What's springboard, summerboard & winterboard?
in layman's term please

Springboard is what you see, your homepage.
Turn on your device, slide to unlock, and that is your springboard.
Basically a homepage.

Summerboard is for firmware 1.x
You don't want to download summerboard.
It's like Winterboard, except harder to use.

Winterboard is better than Summerboard.
They both let you customize your device,
but Winterboard is for 2.x and 3.x
So use Winterboard if you have
firmware 2.x or 3.x
